Special Course for Diplomats from Armenia, Georgia and Mongolia

The 1st Special Course for Diplomats from Armenia & Georgia and 2nd Special Course for Diplomats from Mongolia is being held at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) from 18-27 Oct 2023.

Shri Gaddam Dharmendra, Dean (SSIFS) addressed the diplomats in the presence of H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav, Ambassador of Mangolia, H.E. Mr. Vahagn Afyan, Ambassador-designate of Republic of Armenia and Mr. Lasha Japaridze, Cd’A of Georgia. A warm welcome was extended to the participants.

India shares close and friendly bilateral relations rooted in historical people to people links with Armenia, Georgia and Mongolia. The bilateral relations have been strengthened by recent Ministerial visits. The broad areas of bilateral cooperation include health, education, tourism, renewable energy, culture and development partnership.  

The special course is in line with the expanding relations with Armenia, Georgia and Mongolia and includes modules on global issues, bilateral relations, India Stack and digital payment technologies, disaster management and humanitarian relief, building agritech ecosystem for food security, Trade Negotiation Skills, holistic healthcare and Ayurveda, International law, and Yoga. As part of field visits, the diplomats would be visiting New Parliament Building, National Institute of Solar Energy; TERI, Gandhi Smriti and National Museum and Agra.
