Induction Training of Programme Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Officer Trainees of 2020 Batch

The Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) is organizing the Induction Training Programme (ITP) for 24 Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Officer Trainees (OTs) of 2020 batch and 2 Bhutanese diplomats from 21 December 2020 to 18 June 2021. It endeavours to equip the IFS OTs with essential knowledge and requisite skills to shoulder responsibilities, meet challenges and leverage opportunities as an Indian diplomat in the 21st century.

The 2020 Batch of IFS OTs joined SSIFS for their ITP after completion of the Foundation Course at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.

The ITP was inaugurated by Amb. J.S. Mukul, Dean (SSIFS), on 21 December 2020 following a welcome reception for the IFS OTs.

The ITP comprises of Orientation Module, Phase-I and Phase-II including Mission Orientation Attachment, Army Attachment, State Attachment, Bharat Darshan, etc. The methodology of ITP focuses on practical training and diplomatic skills through simulation exercises, role plays, case studies, success stories, workshops, hands-on sessions, mentoring, etc.
