Induction Training Programme for Batch-II of the 2019 Batch of Assistant Section Officers [19-30 Sept 2022].

The Induction Training Programme (ITP) for Batch-II of the 2019 Batch of Assistant Section Officers is being held at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) from 19-30 September 2022. Twenty nine ASOs from the Batch are participating in this course. ITP for Batch-I was conducted from 22 August-02 September 2022.

The training programme was inaugurated on 19 September 2022 by Joint Secretary (SSIFS - FT & NRG), Smt. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, who stated that the programme had been carefully curated keeping in mind the professional requirements of the ASOs who have recently joined the Ministry of External Affairs.

The two-week long training programme would include interactive sessions with speakers on a range of issues related to the Government and MEA functioning, rules and procedures.  An overview would also be given of India’s foreign policy, polity, economy and economic reforms, culture, negotiation skills and gender sensitization etc.
