Visit of Media Delegation from Maldives to Foreign Service institute

A 20-member media delegation from Maldives is visiting India on a familiarisation programme from 03 to 10 July 2019. As part of the programme, the delegation visited the Foreign Service Institute (FSI), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India on 04 July 2019.

Amb J.S. Mukul, Dean (FSI) addressed the media delegation. He appraised the delegation about the training programmes conducted by FSI for officers/officials of MEA and other ministries. Amb Mukul also gave a detailed briefing on training programmes conducted by FSI for foreign diplomats, which are organised in the spirit of South-South Cooperation. He noted that over 3000 diplomats from over 180 countries have participated in these programmes.

So far, 54 diplomats from Maldives have attended in various Courses conducted by FSI. Amb Mukul also informed the delegation that the 2nd Special Course for diplomats from Maldives is presently ongoing and being conducted by FSI from 24 June to 06 July, 2019. The address by Amb Mukul was followed by a question-answer session. Amb Mukul hosted high tea for the delegation.
