1st Special Course for Diplomats from Libya

The 1st Special Course for diplomats from Libya was held at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India on 06 September -20 September 2019. 15 diplomats from Libya participated in the Course. The Special Course was inaugurated at FSI on 06 September 2019. Amb. JS Mukul, Dean (FSI) hosted a welcome reception for the diplomats.

Senior officers of the Ministry addressed the diplomats from Libya as part of the training programme. The Special Course covered modules on India’s foreign policy, key international issues, multilateral diplomacy and diplomatic skills. The diplomats from Libya got an exposure to India’s economic and technological development and undertook study tours to experience the rich cultural heritage of India.

To date, 21 diplomats from Libya have participated in FSI training programmes for foreign diplomats.

India and Libya enjoy strong bilateral ties. India has supported Libya in International Fora. This Special Course will further strengthen India’s friendly ties with Libya.
