First Special Course for Diplomats and Officers from Nepal

The First Special Course for Diplomats and Officers from Nepal is being held at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, from 21-29 November 2024. Twenty-six diplomats and officers from Nepal are participating in this course. Dean (SSIFS), Amb Raj Kumar Srivastava inaugurated the Special Course in the presence of Dr. Surendra Thapa, Cd’A from Embassy of Nepal. Amb Srivastava spoke on “Understanding India: Antiquity and Modernity; Diplomacy & Technology”, in his inaugural address.
India and Nepal shares unique deep rooted civilizational and cultural links. The close bilateral relations and longstanding people to people ties have been strengthened by regular high level exchanges and visits. The special course aims to focus on areas of mutual interest so that they result into future initiatives, for strengthening bilateral relationship further.
