Participants of the 61st Know India Programme (KIP) visited the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) of the Ministry of External Affairs on 27 September 2022 for a half-day familiarization programme. Forty young Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) from seven countries took part in the Programme. The familiarization programme at SSIFS, which was inaugurated by Ms. Manika Jain, Additional Secretary (OIA-II) and Ms. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, Joint Secretary (SSIFS - FT & NRG), included modules on India and India’s foreign policy.
The KIP is a flagship initiative for diaspora engagement which familiarizes Indian-origin youth (18-30 years) with their Indian roots and contemporary India through a 25-day orientation programme organized by MEA’s Overseas Indian Affairs (OIA) - II Division.
