1st Special Course for Diplomats from Cambodia and 2nd Special Course for Diplomats from Lao PDR

The 1st Special Course for Diplomats from Cambodia and the 2nd Special Course for Diplomats from Lao PDR is being held at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi from 27 March - 05 April 2024. Thirty young diplomats from Cambodia and Lao PDR are participating in this course.

The course was inaugurated on 27 March 2024 by Amb Gaddam Dharmendra, Dean (SSIFS) in the presence of Mr. Theam Vuth, Cd’A of Royal Embassy of Cambodia and Mr. Keo Sengdavong, DCM of Lao People’s Democratic Republic to India..

India shares close and friendly bilateral relations with Cambodia and Lao PDR reflected through high level and Ministerial visits, civilizational and cultural linkages and active developmental cooperation. The special course is in line with expanding bilateral relations and India-ASEAN Relations. Sessions on Protocol and Diplomatic Etiquette, Developmental Partnership and Shared Cultural Heritage, Digital Empowerment, Public diplomacy, Ayurveda, Yoga, Sustainable Tourism & Mission LiFE have been included. The diplomats will be visiting TERI Gram & National Institute of Solar Energey, Rashtrapati Bhawan & Amrit Udyan, Hyderabad House, Bharat Mandapam, National Museum, Gandhi Smriti Museum, and Maha Bodhi Buddhist Temple on their off-site visits. A day-long trip to Agra is also planned.
