Participants of the 63rd Know India Programme (KIP) visited the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS) of the Ministry of External Affairs on 23 December 2022 for a half-day orientation programme. Thirty-nine young Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) from twelve countries took part in the Programme. The orientation programme at SSIFS, which was inaugurated by Ms. Nilakshi Saha Sinha, Joint Secretary (SSIFS – FT & NRG) and Mr. Tanuj Shankar, Deputy Secretary (OIA-II), included modules on India and India’s foreign policy.
The KIP is a flagship initiative for diaspora engagement which familiarizes Indian-origin youth (18-30 years) with their Indian roots and contemporary India through a 21-day orientation programme organized by MEA’s Overseas Indian Affairs (OIA) - II Division.
