The Special Course for Diplomats from El Salvador is being held at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) from 31 July – 11 August 2023. Thirty six diplomats from El Salvador are participating in this course.
The Special Course for Diplomats was inaugurated on 31 July 2023 by Shri Gaddam Dharmendra, Dean (SSIFS) in the presence of H.E. Mr. Guillermo Rubio Funes Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to India. Dean (SSIFS) extended a warm welcome to the participants. During the recent visit to India, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of El Salvador, Ms. Alexandra Hill Tinoco’s reiterated the strong relationship between India and El Salvador, based on shared values and mutual respect. This sentiment underlines the ongoing two-week Special Course for Diplomats from El Salvador at the SSIFS.
The Course is also in line with the close and friendly bilateral between India and El Salvador which encompass a wide range of areas including health, trade and investment, tourism, aquaculture, culture and development partnership.
The Special Course would include modules on Climate Change and LiFE; Renewable Energy, development partnership & cooperation; and Holistic Healthcare with a focus on Ayurveda and Yoga. The El Salvador diplomats would also be visiting the International Solar Alliance Secretariat, the All India Institute for Ayurveda, the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Maruti Plant, Chambers of Commerce, Bahai Temple and media houses.
