1st Special Course for Diplomats from the Pacific Alliance countries and Republic of Moldova
The 1st Special Course for Diplomats from the Pacific Alliance countries and Republic of Moldova is being held at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS), Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, from 10 - 19 July 2024. Twenty-three diplomats from Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia and Moldova are participating in this course. The Course testifies to India’s warm, friendly and cordial relations with the Pacific Alliance countries and Moldova. The bilateral relations have strengthened and expanded in various sectors over the last few years.
The Special Course was inaugurated on 10 July 2024 by Amb. Gaddam Dharmendra, Dean (SSIFS) in the presence of H.E. Mr. Juan Angulo, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile and H.E. Mrs. Ana Taban, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova.
The special course will cover diverse themes such as New and Emerging Technologies, Multi Modal Connectivity under PM Gati Shakti, Overview of India’s Engagements with Latin America and Central Europe, Global Strategic Landscapes & India's Foreign Policy, WTO & Multilateral Trade Negotiations, Pandemics and Public Health Policy, Digital Public Infrastructure, Disaster & Humanitarian Relief and Public Diplomacy. Sessions on Sustainable Tourism & Mission LiFE, Ayurveda and Introduction to Yoga are also included. The diplomats will be visiting Confederation of Indian Industries, TERI Gram, Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, Indian Council of Cultural Relations and the National Gallery of Modern Art as part of their field visits in Delhi. In addition to this, a day-long visit to Agra is also planned.
